Dear Author,
Thulasidhalam is a worthwhile site embellished with beautiful articles and a lovely spalsh of colour via the photos. It is further enhanced by the erudite commentators who express themselves with such freedom and expert analyses and the display of neutrality.
There is a quite urge within, however, to write more about Saivism and its manifold system of epics and philosophies; its evocative Gods and Goddess. I await your esteemed responce...
Please publish this kandhar Anubooti translated formats..
Through this begins the Saivite's column in thulasidhalam..
Maga mayai kalainthida valla piraan,
Mugam aarum mozhindum ozhindilane,
Agam maadai madantair endru aayarum,
Chaga mayayul nindru thayanguvathe.
O Lord Muruga, the Six Faced One
The One who removes even the strongest of Illusions, the ego
Yet this illusion clings on in the form of wealth and spouse
This is the torment - i'm stuck in this illusion
welcome comments from our thulas dhalam readers

.widows in sangam period
Dear author,
Your chapter on ''engiruntho vanthan'' is very interesting. The amazing quotes of various aspects of the conditions of widows in that place are heart rending; the feeling of pity for the widows forced into asylums for their daily bread is pitiable indeed.
It seems prior to the Sangam period, widows re-marrying her husband's brother was the norm...in the case where no brother of the husband was available, she was permitted to marry outside of the husband's family.
The advent of Buddhism in the 6th century changed this.Widows were not allowed to re-marry. The asylum (pally) practice seems to have come into vogue during this period. We see in the Silapathikaram that one Madhavi, a devout Buddhist turned monkish, after the assassination of her love husband kovalan by the pandian king Nedunchezihan.
In the Purananooru that one widow, Perungkopendu, had attempted immolation at the funeral pyre of her husband..and she speaks about the capricious state widows. From this we learn about the pathetic conditions under which widows lived..where widows were denied ghee in their foods, and instead their foods were cooked with a white gingelly paste; they had to sleep on the bare floor without any mat, etc.
Thus we are familiar with the conditions under which widows widows lived in the Sangam period..

Author : shivayadav .. Ref : agnostos_theos # 133 '' Is it possible for us desi ppl to fall in luv at all ? I, agreed that desi ppl are fall in luv at all. While reading this question the Silapathigaram poems dashed on me and it is necessary to refer silapathikaram by Elangovadigal Tamil poet.
Here Kovalan( hero) goes behind Madhavi (kanigaiyar kulam) means dancer and spend all his wealth for her and expect sexual union and physical pleasure from her.
But Madhavi wants a emotional bondage and just not physical pleasure from Kovalan....Here we have noticed her beautiful explanation, that reads ''WOMEN OPENUP AND GIVE THEIRSELF TO SEXUAL UNION SINCE THEY FELL THEY HAVE FOUND THEIR LOVE OF THEIR LIFE''

A strange positive emotion of regard and affection '' childrens love'' following this in Thirukural the saint Thiruvaluvar says ''The pipe is sweet, the lute is sweet'by them't will be awered, Who music of their infants lisping lips have never heared.''means The pipe is sweet the lute is sweet say those who have not heard the prattle of their own children- Inthis we have to seen the affections of the childrens may be a love..
Secondly, the interesting poem in Kamba Ramayana...says about the beauty in another terms love..
Here Ravana at his first sight of Sita describing the beauty of her..he states
In this darkness so thick no fire or arrow could pierce it, she appears with the thunder cloud for her hair her body an utterly-in comparable branch of fine coral, ewith her breasts like pair of coconuts and her face like the moon a lamp that she raises before me burning here alone..thats why i fell love with her....
So the love is variable in different circumstances...

I didn't observe any mistakes
Dear author
I didn't observe any mistakes in ur versions that means '' Even i do not have deep
faith in God.It may be the coz, when I write, I may miss some words in my writings''
It surprises me that one of our readers finds mistake in this and takes a serious view of the above said versions..
It is not my job to interfere in others work. But i think, it is prudent to leave my views as it is.
I await the valuable comments from our thulasidhalam.blogspot.com friends.
I heard that there are 330 million Vedic Gods in our Hindu mythology. Is this possible? If it is so, why did the vedic people give Lord Vinayaka more than 1 lakh names?
There is strong evidence to prove the birth places of Budha and Mahavir. Why do you not give the exact birth place of Rama in Ayodhya ?
I think it is not advisable to go further in this matter, coz the court judgment on the matter is expected on 24th of this month.
However, it is a bone of contention to me that mythological events of millions of years ago, is claimed, whereas vedic roots came to India not more than 3000 years ago, maximum, in my opinion.

JAHANGIR
Dear author
I am not going to justify the actions of any religion, caste or creed; all religious systems are in the same track in my view.
Needless to state that all religious groups engage in some form of suppression of the rights of non-adherents - and try to win them over. It is my considered opinion that no caste, creed or religion is exempt from this practice.
At this juncture,we are confused by the alchemy of power, politics and religion.
----------------------------------
Readers may recall that Mrs Indira Gandhi's govt ordered the military to enter the Amritsar Gurudwar, The Golden Temple.
From one perspective, this act may be justified; it facilitated the rooting out of a virulent terrorist outfit. We cannot deny, tough that it negatively affected the harmony among the people.
Jahangir faced serious problems from his rebel son Kushroo. After the assassination
of Kushroo, Jahangir turned his anger towards the Sikh Guru Arjun Dev. Guru Arjun Dev was most pious and humble. Jahangir was annoyed with him because he had given an amount of Rs 5000/-to Prince Kushroo.
When Jahangir questioned Guru Dev about this, and Guru Dev justified his actions.. Jahangir responded with anger, sentencing Guru Dev to death..

sikhs
Dear author,
The muslims believe in one God almighty and Muhammed is His messenger.
The Quran says: “You [Muslims] are the best nation brought out for Mankind, commanding what is righteous (Ma'ruf - lit. "recognized [as good]") and forbidding what is wrong (Munkar - lit. "unrecognized [as good]")....” [3:110].
In simple Muslims believed an unity all over the world.
Sikhs on the other hand are sort of a sect or tribe that believe in a sage that appeared long ago and taught them how to live in harmony with one and all and principly being a good fellow. You really cannot just become a sikh as you would a muslim by mere conversion as it seems more a tribal than religion thing.
In Hinduism there are many kind of gods and goddess..
In my opinion, Though Sikhism shares some common points with Both Hinduism & Islam , It holds some individuality measures !

BIRDS
by Shivayadav
Creech.........Creech
'Oh my dear birds' the mom calls
The little birds peep and protrude from the nest
Creech, Creech 'oh my dear birds
Here is the prey for you, come out'
Fluttering wings with awesome eye
They hold the prey and begin to eat..
'Dear,' the mother bird calls her young
With anxiety and full of uncertainty..
The mother begin to speak..
'Creech.....Creech!
This is the last feeding in this nest
The strangers, Oh that evil devil man
Is going to cut this tree to pave the road!'
'Creech...Creech..' All the birds cry..'Oh mom
How can we survive from evil Man?'
'I don't know'..the mother bird replied..
'Let us wait and watch for the next day'.
God provided the trees for all
But man takes even that away...

southeastasia
Here is an interesting legend.Believed that Funan, the earliest of the Indianized states, generally is considered by Cambodians to have been the first Khmer kingdom in the area. However there is no direct evidence of Indian rulers. These southeast asian regions took long periods for Indenization coz of natural barriers of sea and land. Here i think , it is helpful to our history lovers to leave this comment. The Great Ashoka sent his son Mahindra and daughter Sangamitra to propagate Bhudism in ceylon (srilanka). In this circumstances there was a possibility to propagate our Hinduism along with Bhudism not only Celyon but other Southeast Asia.

Dear author,
Interestingly note that the khmer language is influnced by sanskrit and pali.pali the language was spoken by Bhuda and the sanskrit had been by the aryan race.here
we know The Buddha lived and taught in the northeastern Indian subcontinent some time between the 6th and 4th centuries.later his followers are classified two major
branches,Heenayanam n Mahayanam.the heenayanam or theravada influnced allover south east asia.here we seeing all these religious mythology has been changed by the successors.so it is not wonder, that the statues including sanctum n sanctorum has been modified r destroyed.
thanx
